The North Star School District is committed to providing a safe, orderly, and academically focused learning environment. The District recognizes that student cell phone use and access to social media continue to create significant distractions to instruction and may negatively impact the mental health, social development, and academic performance of students. The purpose of this policy is to establish clear expectations regarding student possession and use of cell phones and other personal electronic devices during the school day.
